Choose some activity ideas this week to help your kids recognize that joy isn’t found in possessions, activities or other people, to find joy in God’s goodness, presence, protection and sovereignty and to be joyful in all circumstances.

Choose as many or as few as you like, but please let us know what you get up to by posting on social media using #lpcholidayclub2020 or email lpcholidayclub2020@gmail.com. Complete at least one activity to collect your Joy picture piece. Where you see*** beside an activity, we can supply the materials, simply drop us an email before Sunday if you would like us to deliver them.

Getting Outdoors

Sunrise, Stargazing, Rejoicing in the Rain or a Nature Walk
Lots of choice this week, all connecting you with nature and our world. The busyness of our lives combined with a separation from nature can cause us to forget that there is incredible joy to be experienced in the beauty and fascination of nature. The goal of these activities are to create some time and space where you can help your children find awe in God’s creation.

Bible Stories Videos

Science with a Twist

Butterflies ‘n’ Bugs!
For the adventurous amongst you, this is the perfect time to get some caterpillars and watch them tranform into beautiful butterflies before you release them into the wild. Other options are available if this is not for you!

Any where, any time

Joyful Bubbles
Make or buy some bubble mix to blow bubbles outside or at bathtime and share a story about a girl who got everything she ever wanted. We can have all our hearts desire and still feel empty if our goal is to please ourselves.

Memory verses and Prayers for kids

Memorising Scripture with your children helps God’s Spirit bring about lasting change. Choose a verse for your children to learn. Reading it over at least once every day helps.
There are also some sample prayers for kids to use to seek God’s help and reassurance.
