We work in partnership with local schools and healthcare workers to bring a little extra Christmas cheer to children in Loanhead who otherwise may not have many gifts to open on Christmas morning. If you would like to support this initiative there are two options.

1. Volunteer to work in our pop-up shop. Full training will be provided at a session on Sunday 14th December (or at another time by arrangement) and we are looking to have the shop open on Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th December. Please contact Caroline Brownsell or community@loanheadparishchurch.co.uk if you can help.

2. Donate a gift for a child from birth to 15 years. Please bring your (unwrapped) brand new gift to one of our collection points on or before Friday 12th December. These will be situated at The Works in Straiton Retail Park and Loanhead Library.

We also accept monetary donations. Please contact community@loanheadparishchurch.co.uk if you wish to donate in this way, or post your donation in an envelope marked Christmas Gift Fund through the manse letterbox (120 The Loan).

Or bring your (unwrapped) gift along and join us at our Christmas Gift and Carol service with MacTaggart Scott Brass Band on Sunday 14th December at 10.30am at Loanhead Church, and leave your gift under the tree.

Please leave your gifts unwrapped to help with sorting. All gift donations will be sorted by our Community Outreach team and families will receive them in plenty of time before Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas and thank you for your generosity. It helps to make Christmas special for so many local children.
